Cabinet cuts harbour dues by 20%

At its today meeting, the Cabinet has adopted decision to cut the Ukrainian harbour dues by 20% starting from Jan 1, 2018, Ukrinform reports.
«Our ports are very expensive, and the business constantly raises the issue of reducing the cost of services. We decide to cut all harbour dues by 20% to make our ports more competitive,» Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said while speaking within the Cabinet meeting.
It is to be admitted, within this week Ukrainian Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yuri Lavrenyuk specified that the Government decision stipulates a 20% cut as for tonnage, canal, light, sanitary, anchor and private as well as administrative harbour dues (starting from Jan 1, 2018).
