As of 2017, Rostok-Holding winter wheat crop up 6.7%

Rostok-Holding agro-industrial group this year has grown the winter wheat crop to 51,100 tonnes (up 6.7% against last year ), Interfax says referring to the Rostok-Holding report.
As to the report, this year winter wheat has been harvested at 7,700 ha (average yield 6.7 tonnes/ha, up 36.7% against last year).
«This result was achieved due to a well-thought-out investment strategy. The key role was played by the successful selection of sorts and a strict observance of the technology of growing wheat. This year both foreign and Ukrainian sorts of wheat pleased us,» Rostok-Holding chief agronomist Yuriy Lebedev said.
As to the report, this year the share of winter wheat within the structure of the group sown areas is about 15%.
It is to be admitted, the Rostok-Holding LLC, established within 2010, is a vertically integrated agro-industrial group. It specializes within cultivation and sale of grains, production, processing and sale of dairy products, grain trading.
