As of Aug 11, Ukrainian grain crop hits 35.5 mln tonnes

As of this year Aug 11, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 35.5 million tonnes of grain on 9.2 million ha
(95% of total planned areas), Ukrinform says referring to Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry report.
As to the report, early grain crops have already been harvested in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kirovograd, Mykolayiv, and Kherson regions.
Reportedly, new grain crop average yield is 3.84 tonnes per ha.
At the same time, agrarians have threshed 25.3 million tonnes of wheat (from 6.1 million ha or 96% total planned areas); 8.3 million tonnes of barley (2.4 million ha or 97%); 319,000 tonnes of rye (135,000 ha or 80%); 279,000 tonnes of oats from (104,000 ha or 52%).
As to the report, the farmers have also harvested 1.1 million tonnes of peas (408,000 ha or 100%).
In addition, Ukrainian farmers continue to harvest rapeseed, having already collected 2.1 million tonnes of this product from the area of 754,000 ha (96%).
It is to be admitted, this year early grain and leguminous crops are to be harvested at the total area of 9.7 million ha.
It is to be mentioned, as of 2016, Ukraine harvested 65.95 million tonnes of grain and legumes (up 9.7% against 2015). It was also a record for the whole period of the country independence.
