Groisman says visit to Britain was effective
07.07.2017 17:10 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while speaking in London, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said that the visit by a Ukrainian government delegation to the United Kingdom was effective, Ukrinform reports.
«I think that we have positive results of this trip. We plan to deepen cooperation with Britain, and as part of the conference on reforms in Ukraine we have made the world more united around events and reforms in our state,» Groysman said.
As to him, delegation representatives again made sure in London that the world was positively evaluating changes in Ukraine.
«I have heard a lot from international colleagues that no one has done what Ukraine did in three years under such very difficult conditions. We stabilized the situation in Ukraine, stopped the economic downturn, switched to growth, and we need to accelerate the reforms. I have no doubt about this,» he said.
He reminded that within this visit he had met with British Prime Minister Theresa May and President of the EBRD Board of Directors Suma Chakrabarti. In addition, Groisman attended a meeting of the EBRD Board of Directors. «I think that after this meeting our opportunities will be much better,» he admitted.
As to Groisman, the conference on Ukrainian reforms was very important. «The conference itself was held for the first time. We have achieved this goal for a long time so as to create a platform for assessing of the Ukrainian situation and uniting the efforts of the international community to support the changes that are taking place in our country,» he said.
