Prime Minister urges local authorities to carry out responsibly energy efficiency measures
19.06.2017 18:38 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while speaking within the conference call with heads of the Ukrainian Regional State Administrations, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has urged local authorities to devote careful attention to the implementation of energy efficiency programs as well as to strengthen payment discipline, especially as local budgets possess sufficient resources due to the decentralization process, Government Portal reports.
«The separate issue is the energy efficiency. We had an extremely complicated but effective way to reduce consumption of resources and to diversify supply resources. The modernization of industry and housing is of utmost importance for us now. The local budgets possess necessary resources for energy efficiency measures,» Groisman stressed, while appealing to mayors with a request to bear more responsibilities with regard to energy efficiency measures.
