Ukraine, Malta agreed on cooperation within higher education, youth and sports

As of yesterday, within the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko state visit to Malta, several documents were signed, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the documents were signed within the presence of President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat.
Thus, in part., the Memorandum of Cooperation within the sphere of higher education between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry for Education and Employment of Malta has been signed. The document is aimed to enhance relations in the sphere of higher education via mutual exchange of experience and information on the issues of management of education system, establishment and development of direct cooperation between the higher education institutions, exchange of scientific and pedagogical staff for short- and long-term educational work under contracts. The Memorandum was concluded for 5 years and entered into force on the day of signature.
As to the report, the parties also concluded Memorandum of Cooperation within the sphere of youth and sports between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Ministry for Education and Employment of Malta. The document creates necessary legal conditions for the development of bilateral Ukraine-Malta relations in the given spheres through the executive bodies, civil youth organizations, sports organizations and federations. Development of cooperation will be ensured via conclusion of direct treaties between organizations.
Also, the parties signed the Memorandum of Understanding as for the bilateral consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malta.
