Ministry of Agrarian Policy introduced grain export contracts Agrarian Exchange obligatory registration
12.07.2006 10:06 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As to Ministry of Agrarian Policy Decree № 366 (Jul 10, 2006), all grain export contracts are to be obligatory registered on Agrarian Exchange Market (subordinate to Agrarian Fund), reported Oleksandr Baranivskiy, Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy, on selector meeting. "Due to Decree № 366 from Jul 10 «About Improving of Grain Market Regulation», registration of external economic as well as regional contracts will be executed on Agrarian Exchange Market," declared Baranivskiy. Acting Minister admitted this decision was approved due to State requiring most complete information on grain purchases/export volumes. «State must be aware of how much grain is sold on domestic market and how much is sold abroad,» said Baranivskiy. He made it known grain holders may sell their grain on any of Ukrainian agrarian exchanges, yet in case if grain is to be brought out from Ukraine, grain sale contracts should be registered on Agrarian Exchange subordinate to Agrarian Fund As earlier reported, Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasted 2006/07 MY grain crop to reach 4041 mn MT (2006/07 MY grain export 13 mn MT).
