The wholesale prices for sugar have exceeded 3000 UAH/MT in Ukraine
02.07.2003 «Agro Perspectiva» (Kyiv) — According to the information of the company «Agrarika ltd», the wholesale prices for sugar were increased up to 3200 UAH/MT (605 USD/MT) in Ukraine within June 18 — June 25, that is 500 UAH/MT more than at previous week. The basic reasons of increase are low offer of sugar and stiff demand of the population for it. The analysts of the company predict the reduction of the internal prices for sugar, as processing of import raw sugar will increase. However the companies, which have received the quotas for import of raw sugar, can co-ordinate their actions for averting of the price fall.
