The Ukrainian import of wheat flour is reduced, and the Ukrainian import of rye flour is augmented

26.06.2003 «Agro Perspectiva» (Kyiv) — The flour import decreased more than twice in May 2003 in comparison with April 2003 because of increase of flour prices in Russia. It was imported 12 ths MT of flour in May 2003. It includes 10 ths MT of wheat flour and 2 ths MT of rye flour. Apparently the peak of wheat flour import already has passed. But the rye flour import is gradually increased because of the attractive prices for it and large offer in Russia. The main suppliers of flour were Russia (98%) and Kazakhstan (2%) in May 2003.
