Ukraine started preparations to match for world chess champion title among women

As of today, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a Decree to establish the organizational committee on preparations and holding of the match for the world chess champion title among women in Ukraine, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the Presidential Administration will be responsible for the organization of the committee’s activity.
Reportedly, the Head of the Presidential Administration Borys Lozhkin will be the Head of the Committee.
Besides, the Ukrainian Minister of Youth and Sports Ihor Zhdanov and the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Rostyslav Pavlenko will be his deputies.
Reportedly, the committee will also include President of the Ukrainian Chess Federation Viktor Kapustin, President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Head of Lviv Regional Chess Federation Taras Kernytskyi, representatives of the Government, Verkhovna Rada, law enforcers, Lviv Mayor and Lviv Governor.
As to the report, the document is to take effect on the day of publication.
It is to be admitted, the possibility of holding of this match had been discussed at the meeting between President Poroshenko and world chess champion of 2015 Mariya Muzychuk in Apr. The athlete asked the President to support an application for the return match against former world chess champion Hou Yifan in Ukraine. Petro Poroshenko promised to comprehensively assist in this issue.
Thus, at the beginning of Jul, Petro Poroshenko met with Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and agreed to hold the match in Lviv in the early 2016. The President believes that Lviv has everything necessary to hold the competition at the highest level.
