"The Association agreement with the EU will be ratified by the current Parliament in September. The Government has done everything in power in order not just to ratify the Agreement, but to implement it," Government Portal says quoting the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk as saying on Friday, August 22, in an interview with the Ukrainian TV channels.
The PM noted that Russia was trying to slow down the process of ratification of the Agreement with the EU, saying that the Agreement hampers the Russian economy: «I think that the Russian economy is hampered only by the Russian military aggression and the regime they have today as already hundreds of billions of dollars have gone down the drain from the Russian economy».
Arseniy Yatseniuk reminded that several rounds of technical consultations on the Association Agreement with the EU, Ukraine and the Russian Federation had been held: «To every so-called Russian warning we have two ours which completely negate the Russian position. There are no grounds for Russia to raise a question about the alleged negative consequences of this deal for it.»
«Everything is ready for ratification of the Agreement with the EU. The current Parliament in September will ratify the Agreement with the European Union,» Yatseniuk stated.
