Prime Minister reminded about this during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 18, Mykola Azarov Official Website reports.
«The restructuring of the domestic economy will open up new prospects for intensification of cooperation with the countries of the Customs Union and the CIS. The Association Agreement contains no provisions that would prevent our plans for expansion of cooperation with the Customs Union, the CIS countries and other partners outside the European Union», Mykola Azarov stressed.
Prime Minister also noted that the agreement with the EU is not a dogma that can not be revised. "It is an equitable international treaty, he said. Political dialogue will take place at the level of summit, where Ukraine will be represented by the President and the European Union by the President of the European Council and the European Commission. "
According to Prime Minister, a schedule for consideration at the Government meetings of the agreements of the Customs Union to which Ukraine could join was agreed upon. Head of the Cabinet instructed the Ministry of Economic Development to coordinate the work upon harmonization of the domestic economy in the context of free trade zone with the EU and under the conditions provided by the Customs Union.
